Workplace Showplace

JLL DC

Reflecting their role as leaders in the global real estate market, JLL’s DC headquarters integrates the best practices of today’s high-performing workplaces. The result is a true depiction of their Workplace: Showplace goal and a comprehensive articulation of JLL’s global brand and regional culture in action.

A hospitality-inspired lobby features a sophisticated brand palette with strategic local touchpoints, including a suspended sculptural map of the DC grid. The reception area is designed to support JLL’s robust event programming with flexibility to host clients, happy hours, and other networking functions. Multiple touchdown points energize and activate the space during work hours.

Generous glass conference rooms meant for client pitches or internal meetings emphasize expansive views around an elegant, centrally located stair. Locally commissioned artwork and DC-inspired details align the conference walls, including pieces by artist Maggie O’Neill.

A large café named after staff’s favorite local pub accommodates multiple uses throughout the day, providing a relaxed environment for informal meetings and social gatherings. The space encourages interaction while accommodating privacy by incorporating wellness strategies like transparency, biophilic design, adjustability, and access to natural light.

The office fosters a collision and collaboration mindset through design elements like wayfinding and line of sight. The workspaces balance cultural demands for open and private environments by offering five types of individual workspaces, including custom-designed executive studios along the window line.
