All About That Bass

All About That Bass

Reverb

Inspired by the Shaw neighborhood’s musical roots, this 313-unit luxury apartment community features expansive amenities including an open-air fitness terrace, coworking, rooftop pool and kitchen, and pet spa. Glamorous, moody, and always unexpected, the design celebrates the energy and soul of the surrounding music scene.

Reflecting Washington DC’s vibrant musical history and the neighboring 9:30 Club, Reverb’s interior design leads into dramatic, vibrant emeralds and luxury finishes to bring residents a glamorous and unique experience. At the entrance of the lobby, a wall of curated vinyl album covers—sourced locally from Byrdland Records and Songbyrd Music house—adorns a hidden sliding door that connects to the neighboring music venue.

A grand staircase—lined with organ-inspired chrome pipes designed to replicate sound waves—leads you into a leasing area on the second floor, where current and future residents are met with unparalleled service. The moody instrument reflects the interior design of Reverb, further reinforcing its connection to the neighborhood.

From the lobby to the penthouse, curated art and custom lighting and furniture are located throughout the building. The millwork and lighting in the mailroom nod to the organic forms throughout the interior architecture of Reverb—and provide a preview of the light and airy apartment units—while also balancing the dark composition of most of the interior space. Coworking stations are located throughout the ground floor, in addition to the mailroom, in response to the post-pandemic demand for these spaces. To appeal to young professionals, providing a comfortable space to work from home was a top priority.
