The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown unveils a refreshed vision of boutique luxury. Rather than expanding or rebuilding, the design honors the original architecture. Reusing materials wherever possible while seamlessly integrating contemporary elements. Updates to the lobby as well as the restaurant and café reflect a thoughtful reimagining focused on preservation, storytelling, and timeless refinement.
Cool blues and earthy greens reflect the nearby Potomac River and forested parks. Expansive windows allow natural light to flood through the interiors, illuminating the rich textures and colors that mirror Georgetown’s storied past. The result is a tactile, layered experience with exposed brick, warm wood, and a dramatic blackened steel fireplace. These elements evoke Georgetown’s history while offering a space that feels both elevated and welcoming.
Artwork further deepens the hotel’s ties to Georgetown. The lobby features original works by a local artist whose playful and quirky pieces animate the space while also showcasing the city’s history. The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown exemplifies how careful design can honor legacy while inviting fresh experiences.
