2024 Fall Promotions

As 2024 comes to an end, we are reflecting on the major moments—which includes a class of outstanding promotions.

Laura Heeter — Associate Director of Richmond Interiors

Laura has been an integral part of our interiors group for the past three years (That’s right, since she joined us!). Committed to thoughtful design focused around environmental impacts and human health, Laura’s portfolio focuses primarily on the design of hospitality, residential, and workplace environments that tell a unique story. As a forward-focused firm, Laura’s passion has naturally driven her to step into a leadership role supporting the interior group at our Richmond studio. Laura’s work strives to create authentic and hyper-local experiences that feel true to their environment, an attribute that fits well in the historic, rich-cultured city.

Starr Ashcraft — Interim Director of Richmond Office

Starr has over 20 years of experience, with 17 of those years at Hickok Cole, in multifamily architecture, specifically focused on wood frame construction and other low-rise projects. As multifamily housing is her passion—she brings a wealth of technical knowledge, innovative ideas, and high-design aesthetics to every project she touches. As our Richmond Studio continues to grow, we are thrilled to bring Starr on as our Interim Director of the Richmond Office. Her commitment and care go beyond what is expected to encompass improving design standards, expanding our client network, and mentoring the next generation of architects.

We also celebrate the promotion of Andrew Bickell, Kirsten Lytle, and Joe O’Connor to Senior Associate, and Brandi Love, Patrick DiGiovanni, and Begoña Blasco to Associate. True Hickok Cole champions, we are proud to recognize the leadership, technical skill, and passionate work from this group.
