Challenged to incorporate multiple amenities within a small space, the Clubhouse prioritizes flexibility and functionality to optimize square footage across six distinct zones. The approach targets the full range of demographics across the community–millennials, families, and retirees–to appeal to all generations. The resulting modern farmhouse aesthetic celebrates authenticity and tradition while complementing residents’ active lifestyles in a relaxed environment.
Industrial elements like exposed ductwork combine with a fresh palette and massive windows to emphasize an A-frame ceiling. A collection of modern furniture mix with cozy textures and rustic materials for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere while jewel-toned accent décor and curated works of art lend vibrancy and personality to the space.
The light and airy interior boasts entertainment and gathering lounge space, a hospitality kitchen, a game table, and a fitness center that opens onto the patio, inviting the warm Virginia weather to circulate indoors. Designed to withstand high foot traffic, The Clubhouse is carefully curated with scratch and stain-resistant surfaces and washable, high-quality materials that adhere to the modern farmhouse aesthetic, while guaranteeing it will serve residents for years to come.
“The talented designers at Hickok Cole worked collaboratively with us to develop a truly unique amenity to the homeowners of the Neighborhood at Libbie Mill-Midtown. The club house offers numerous individual areas stylishly appointed for entertaining, dining and lounging. Their scope of work extended beyond FF&E. In collaboration with the building’s architect and the development team, Hickok Cole created a millwork, casework, fixture, and finish package that resulted in an asset that will serve the community members functionally and fashionably for years to come.”
