Behind the Scenes: National Geographic Museum of Exploration

The latest updates, coverage, and events surrounding the construction of the new National Geographic Museum of Exploration in downtown Washington, DC.
We are thrilled to be providing architecture, interior design, and creative services for this project. With construction underway on the occupied campus, our very own Principal and Director of Project Production + Technology, Jason Wright, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, was quoted in an article by Construction Dive and spoke about the skylight inside the pavilion.
The complex nature of this project is detailed, as it involves integrating new structures into four existing buildings of varying ages and architectural styles. This endeavor requires meticulous planning to ensure structural cohesion and adherence to preservation standards, especially since three of the buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
