This year has been filled with achievements that underscore our commitment to innovation and excellence. From bold ideas to professional milestones, we’ve focused on what matters most—our people. Here’s a look back at some of the moments that made 2024 memorable.
1. Painting the Town—Our Annual Art Night raised $147,365 and brought together artists, collectors, and commercial real estate industry professionals to support the Washington Project for the Arts. We are thrilled that this event continues to prove that creativity and community go hand in hand.
2. Moving on Up—For the second consecutive year, we’ve ascended the Washington Business Journal’s list of Largest Architecture Firms, now proudly holding the #15 spot.
3. A Fellow Among Us—We took great pride in announcing that our own Robert Holzbach has been elevated to AIA Fellow, a testament to his exceptional contributions to architectural profession.
4. 2nd Rise Itern—We welcomed the talented Diamond Brown, an Interior Design major from Mississippi State as our second Rise Intern, reflecting our ongoing commitment to nurturing diverse talent in the design industry.

5. Promotions—Our people are our most valuable asset. Our spring and fall promotions recognized their dedication, talent, and initiative.
6. National Geographic Museum Makes Headlines—Our project for the National Geographic Society made headlines in the Washington Post, Commercial Observer, and Washington Business Journal.
7. On Trend—Rhea Vaflor our Director of Lifestyle and Trendsetting was honored as ULI DC’s “Groundbreaker,” celebrating her forward-thinking contributions to urban development.
8. Parc View Opens—We celebrated the grand opening of Parc View, our high-rise student housing project in Richmond, setting a new standard for student living spaces.
9. Reimagine. Reinvent. Repeat.—We’re reimagining dated office buildings, transforming them through upgrades, redevelopment, and new branding.
10. Medal-Worthy Leadership—Yolanda Cole received AIA|DC’s highest honor, the Centennial Medal, recognizing her outstanding leadership and impact on the architectural community.
