Hickok Cole leadership blooms with spring promotions
We are thrilled to close out our first quarter by recognizing the accomplishments of our team. Today, we celebrate the promotion of several of our exceptional team members:
John Lang, AIA
John Lang has been appointed to Richmond Studio Director.
With over two decades of experience in the architecture and design industry, John brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to his new role. His portfolio includes a diverse range of design projects, notably mixed-use development and residential facilities including the Wellsmith at Libbie Mill Midtown in Richmond and St. Albans, a mixed-use project in Raleigh, NC. In this new role, John will oversee office operations and design efforts while driving the firm’s strategic vision and growth across the southeast region.
“John’s human-focused design approach and dedication to creating meaningful places and spaces perfectly align with our firm’s values. His expertise will be a valuable asset to the Richmond community,” says Senior Principal, Yolanda Cole.
Guilherme (Gui) A.M. Almeida, AIA, NCARB, LEED Green Assoc., Fitwel Ambassador
An advocate for design excellence in every corner of his life, and our Director of Sustainability + High Performance Design, Gui has been promoted to Associate Principal. Gui brings a passion for innovation and pride in shaping the future of urban landscapes to every project he touches. He has a keen interest in shepherding the highest levels of design on all projects at the firm, large and small, including the first urban, net-zero energy commercial office renovation on the East Coast—the American Geophysical Union. Gui takes every opportunity to advocate for the incorporation of creative design solutions and high-performance strategies within his projects while helping establish best industry practices in his role as a Strategic Council member within the American Institute of Architects.
We also celebrate the promotion of Kerry Putnam, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP and Randy Stogsdill, RA to Senior Associates, and Taylor Clark, AIA, NCARB and Tannaz Alavi to Associates, recognizing their outstanding performance and leadership within the firm. Additionally, Zaki Mallasi, LEED BC+C has been given the title of Director of Design Technology and Lauren Windsor the title of Director of Project Operations.
“I am always gratified and inspired when our colleagues flourish and excel” said Mark Ramirez, Principal and Managing Director. “Our firm’s success depends on the strength and talent of our people and today, we celebrate the promotions of individuals who are passionate about design and embody leadership, rigor, innovation, and excellence. These promotions are a tangible way to recognize their achievement. We congratulate each person and look forward to their continued success for years to come.”
