Sean McTaggart first came to Hickok Cole in March 2012. Originally from South Jersey, Sean attended Catholic University in Washington, DC, where he earned a B.S. in Architecture, Master of Architecture, and a Master of Science in Sustainable Design. His 2011 graduate thesis A New Olympic Legacy was the recipient of several awards, including “super jury” selection…this passion for large-scale sustainability & urban design continues to this day. Sean is now a licensed architect in the State of Pennsylvania, and played a major role in the recent Philly Timber Towers iLab research / design project.

Here at Hickok Cole, Sean is chair of the happy hour committee and manages the model shop, with a particular interest in laser-cutting and 3D printing. Though currently assisting in the construction of several major projects in the office, he’s found time to collaborate on several award-winning design competitions, from a short-term music festival pavilion to a mass timber skyscraper. Sean is a Philly sports fanatic, and also enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and the occasional marathon.
