Lucie Tao developed her interest in design through her father, a civil engineer who toured her around famous architecture. She’s originally from Shenzen, China, a city outside Hong Kong and the fastest-growing housing market in the country so it’s no surprise she’s fascinated by residential communities. She finished high school in Chattanooga, TN, before moving to upstate New York to study at Syracuse University. Lucie is not afraid of a challenge and embraces change from living in new places to trying new hairstyles—she once cut off her hair because she was tired of blow drying it every day (we’ve all had those days in the DC summer!). She jumps at the opportunity to travel and enjoys bowling, kayaking, and cuddling her three cats on the weekends.
