Master of Architecture, Washington University in St. Louis
Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Catholic University of America
Originally from Colombia, MD, Katherine grew up in a math and science-heavy household (her mother is a chemist) where her love of Legos and Tonka trucks sparked her interest in engineering and architecture. She attended The Catholic University of America here in DC and later received her Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis where she spent four years gaining commercial and residential experience after graduation. One of her favorite projects is a series of townhomes she designed in Piqua, Ohio that was unfortunately put on pause due to COVID, but she’s hopeful to see her vision come to life one day. If she looks familiar it’s because this isn’t her first rodeo at Hickok Cole. In fact, Katherine spent three years as a staff designer back when we still had the “A” in our name. Now back in her hometown, she’s excited to revisit her favorite spots and immerse herself in the spirit of collaboration she remembers from her earlier days at the firm. When she’s not tending to her “weenie” garden box (her words not ours), you’ll find her painting, swimming, or cuddling with her kitty Lucy.
