1555 Wilson Boulevard completes the goals of the design vision defined by the West Rosslyn Area Plan Study in 2015. The WRAPS document envisioned a significant and identifiable mixed use urban place along the Rosslyn Ballston corridor. Key components of the project include three residential towers with retail at the street level and several civic uses including a new fire station, a new urban park, and a new street connecting Wilson Boulevard with 18th street. The new street is an extension of N. Pierce street and it provides two access points for the parking garage and all the residential towers will have entrances and lobbies facing the street. The buildings are targeting LEED Silver, with very efficient mechanical systems and a rain water collection system to be used for irrigation.

The overall project is composed of three residential towers. Two towers are on the east side, a 105 unit luxury condominium facing 18th street and a 456 unit rental apartment facing Wilson Boulevard. The condos have very large private terraces, 10’ ceilings and large windows. The east towers are 270’ in height and offer a very generous amenity package including a large fitness center and a spectacular landscaped roof terrace and pool. There is an additional terrace on the 3rd floor adjacent to the new park. The form of the apartment tower includes a graceful curved façade that steps back from the street below to maximize light and air at the pedestrian level. The ground floor has over 20,000 SF of retail space with a 2-story restaurant facing Wilson Boulevard. At the northwest quadrant of the site is a completely new Rosslyn Highland Park for use by the neighboring community. There will be 1060 parking spaces below grade in 4 parking levels and more than 242 bicycle spaces in the East Tower.
