NDP Agency opened its doors to their converted Scott’s Addition warehouse turned creative office in December 2018. Previously, the building was used as an auto shop, filled to the brim with car parts and industrial shelving for equipment. NDP Agency, the design team, and the building owner saw the hidden potential of the space and preserved many historical pieces, including skylights, industrial barn doors, and original warehouse windows.
NDP sought a branded headquarters that gave employees the opportunity to collaborate more freely. To deliver on this objective, Hickok Cole designed open work areas, various magnetic walls to display work in progress, wellness and shower rooms for those who bike or walk to work, and light filled conference rooms. One of the most notable spaces is the large work café. With its abundance of natural light, the cafe space supports a variety of activities and was selected for the most desirable spot in the building so all could enjoy. All-hands meetings, group lunches, quiet morning reading, and happy hours (complete with a beer tap!) are all hosted in this flexible, coffee shop vibe environment. The new work space is a complete change from their previous office, as CEO Danny Fell describes, “… our new space focuses on our staff working together for the best possible outcomes for our clients.”
