Hickok Cole Architects designed the new 875,000 sf mixed-use residential building located in Comstock Partners’ transit-oriented development adjacent to the new Reston Station Metro Facility at Wiehle Avenue in Reston, Virginia.

The multi-family high-rise includes 450 residential units totaling 520,000 sf; 9,000 sf of retail, and 700 residential parking spaces totaling 320,000 sf. The building’s façade, which consists of precast, glass and metal panels, is designed with a dramatic vertical expression. The rooftop penthouse offers striking views of Northern Virginia, and the building includes extensive (20,000 sf) amenities, such as a cooking area, business center, zen lounge, game room, yoga room, swimming pool, and a club room located in the garden pavilion.

Located mid-way between Tyson’s Corner and Dulles Airport, the project is Phase 2 of a planned 5 Phase transit oriented development project that will include an extensive office, hotel, and parking component. A bridge will connect the Reston Station development to the new metro station at Wiehle Avenue, creating a hub of activity along the Silver Line which will include a grand civic plaza dedicated to public activity throughout the year.
